Wisdom … Divine
A grandmother to a mother, passes on her recipes of life, to a daughter in hope that she’ll become a great mother and a good wife. “And the daughter cherishes them forever”.
A grandfather to a father and a father to a son, teaches him a few life lessons that will make him smarter. They hope that the son will become a good husband, and pray that he will be a great father.
Generation after generation, this knowledge is passed on. We hold this knowledge dearly in our hearts, even after our grandparents are gone. We do this because they took time to talk to us about what’s right, and what’s wrong.
The same thing is true with Jesus — as He is always in our ear. Teaching us and showing us … promising us that He will always be near. Reminding us of the gift He gave … that the Holy Spirit is here. Reminding us and showing us, that this gift we should hold dear.
You’ll then realize that our grandparents and parents are examples established by God. Examples that will help us when life is great! and when life is kinda odd. Teaching us that with Prayer and Faith, God will give a favorable nod.
It’s important to know that these gifts are from the Lord, and will help in times of success or strife. Because they are part of God’s perfect plan, which is … eternal life.
So who have you helped and given a listening ear? Who have you prayed for in their times of joy, or times of fear?
Who have you talked to and helped along the way? Who have you told to seek Jesus … who have you told to pray?
Who have you been right with, and who have you done wrong? Who will remember you, long after you are gone?
These answers may vary depending on who you are. You can be someone down trodden, or you could be a superstar.
But one thing that you can count on is Jesus, no matter who you may be. And because of Him, I pray, everyday, that you can count on me.
