As we stated in our 2014 Florida Bar Exam post, there are three subjects that must be on every bar exam: (1) the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure; (2) the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure; and (3) the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, which are consistently tested in multiple-choice format. Those three subjects will comprise 30% (30 points) of your multiple-choice score. There will be two additional subjects comprising 60% (60 points) of your multiple-choice score. Three essay subjects comprise 100% of your essay score (300 points). To see a complete list of the subjects tested on Part A of the exam, read our prior post.

To pass the bar exam, you must know the black letter law. We realize you probably have bar review outlines covering these subjects, but sometimes it is helpful to read the actual law, or at least glance at it, especially the Table of Contents. Further, if you are still not clear as to the federal versus Florida law distinctions, looking at the statutes might prove helpful.
