Hello,
I am taking the bar exam in February. I am only taking the MBE portion of the exam. I would like some insight on how I should study for the exam. I have made outlines and flashcard already.
Hi there Stephanie,
If you would, kindly refer to our FAQ page or our 2016 FL Bar Exam page for MBE information. If you still have questions, feel free to Contact us. Thank you kindly, and best regards.
Any updates for the predictions?
Hi Robert,
We posted the July 2015 exam predictions on July 5, 2015. Have you had a chance to look at them? We are not sure if you are asking about the posted predictions or additional predictions. If you have looked at the posted predictions and still have questions, please let us know. The only additional subject we might add to the list of predictions would be a Torts essay cross-over question? … Best regards to you on the exam!
Hello!
I saw your July 2015 predictions and I find them to be a bit broad compared to the other years. Is there any way of narrowing this down some more? Please advise.
Hello Hilary,
Respectfully, our exam predictions are what they are. Upon re-reading the exam predictions’ page, one might see where we were indeed quite specific with our predictions. Irrespective thereof, please understand that we provide this website and materials gratis, free of charge, and spend multiple hours researching, writing, and posting the information. Detailed and more in-depth information is reserved for our paying clients (tutorees). We do, however, thank you for visiting Aplus eBooks. If you have additional questions or comments regarding this issue please use our Contact Form to communicate with us. Thank you. Kind Regards. [Note: Due to an influx of inquiries such as this one, we added a Predictions Explanation page.]
What are your thoughts on the chances of the July 2015 exam having a secured or commercial paper essay question?
Thanks! This website is extremely helpful.
Hi Jay,
Good question regarding the UCC 3 & 9. Statistically, there is a .04% chance that the UCC 3 or 9 will be tested on the July 2015 exam, and a 67% chance that Contracts will be tested. While the examiners seem to test Contracts more heavily on the July exam than they do on the February exam, we somewhat lean toward the view that neither the UCC nor Contracts will be tested on the July 2015 exam. If anything, we lean toward a possible Torts cross-over essay question more than we do that of a UCC cross-over question. But truly, we do not know? … We do, however, hope the absolute best for you on the exam!
Hi! By a torts cross-over question what combination would you be thinking about? I realize that’s very specific and you guys aren’t psychic but I would love any additional insight you might have on the topic. Thanks!
I simply wanted to say a word of thanks for the remarkable information you provide on your website. My classmates and I have been using it for exam preparation. Thanks for your predictions, essay information and articles. Great website!
Any updates for the essays?
Hi Carlos,
We hope to have the July 2015 exam predictions posted on or about July 5-7, 2015. In the interim, be sure to study Florida Civil & Criminal Procedure in MC format (although we realize you asked about essays, not MC subjects). Nevertheless….
We hope the best of success for you on the July exam! 🙂
I am so glad I found this page! I’m an attorney in PR taking the FL Bar next July for the first time. Looking forward to get your predictions! Thanks again!
Hi Kelly,
Thank you kindly for your comment. We hope the best of success for you on the July exam!
Is it possible to have the July 2015 essay and mc predictions earlier? I see that there is a strong possibility that evidence andbusiness entities will be tested for the mc’s.
Hi Pedro,
You are absolutely correct! There is a high possibility that Evidence and Business Entities will appear as FL MC subjects on the July 2015 FL Bar Exam. It is also very possible that Wills & Admin of Estates will appear in FL MC format.
Currently, we are leaning toward the thought that Business Entities and Wills & Admin of Estates will appear as FL MC subjects, in addition to FL Crim Pro, FL Civ Pro, and FL Judicial Admin. However, we have not yet done the stats and we probably will not be able to post the July 2015 FL Bar Exam predictions until the start of July. If we have an opportunity for early posting of exam predictions, we will contact you by email to let you know.
We hope this information helps for now? Best regards to you and thank you for commenting.
Business was tested July 2014 and Feb 2015. Based on information of past subjects Business has not been tested 3 times in a row but anything is possible. I am more concerned with Juvenile. Since Juvenile Delinquency is the child version of Adult Crim Pro it would make since for them to test that in a MC format. FL Civ and Crim Pro, Evidence, and Juvenile would be a killer but getting a larger group to pool from on a new subject makes July 2015 a perfect opportunity.
Hi Sherry,
We agree regarding Juvenile Delinquency. We have been waiting for that new, yet untested, subject to appear on the exam since at least February 2014. Indeed, when we posted the Feb 2015 Raw Scores, we made mention of it again. We think you are on to something by recognizing the possibility of Juvenile Delinquency being tested in July 2015. But like you said, anything is possible.
Really? Even though both Business Entities and Wills/Estates were on the Feb 2015 exam?
I stand corrected it has been 3 times in a row July 2012 and both times in 2013. Has anyone seen any sample (or what they thought were sample) Juvi questions? I thought I saw 1 or 2 on the Feb 2015 Florida MC.
Just took the Florida Feb. 2015 Bar Exam from out of state. I am barred [licensed] in 2 other states (took MBE and state bar exams 22 years ago) and have been a practicing atty for 22 years. This exam was TERRIBLE to prepare for because of the volume of information and the guessing game of what will be on Florida. Here was the breakdown:
FL essay
Family law
Constitutional Law/ alittle Tort overlay and Ethics
3rd essay- Easement, Real Property, Wills…I don’t know really very confusing.
The people I talked to all hated Essay 2 and 3
FL MC
I actually had time to count the category of each question and I missed 2 of the 100. Here is the breakdown.
Wills [removed for privacy] questions
Business Entities (Corporation/Partnership) [removed for privacy] questions
Civil Procedure [removed for privacy] questions
Criminal Procedure [removed for privacy] questions
Four MC subjects and 3 essay subjects ONLY yet you were suppose to study 12-15 Florida subjects. If you guessed correctly the subjects being tested and only studied those subjects then you passed FL with flying colors. I ran out of time and did not study FL at all.
Instead, I focused on the MBE and did not do well. I think I answered 1/3 correctly, guessed between 2 answers on 1/3 (probably guessed wrong? and did not know the answer of the remaining 1/3.
I studied 2 months on adaptibar online program and the questions matched up well but as a wife, mother of 2 teenagers and running my own practice…my brain could only absorb so much.
Next time, I would only study FL because the questions are easier to answer and remember if you can guess the subjects correctly. MBE is what it is>>>>tricky tricky tricky.
Hi Loraine,
Thank you very much for taking the time to convey a break-down of the multiple-choice subtopics. Florida is difficult to prepare for because the Florida Board of Bar Examiners release so little information about the exam, at least in comparison to the National Conference of Bar Examiners who actually provide applicants’ with a subject matter outline. By the Grace of God, we have been able to statistically hone-in on some of the specifics when it comes to what will be tested on the Florida portion of the exam. Other than Federal Constitutional Law, we pretty well nailed the predictions this go round. If you happen to re-take the July 2015 Florida Bar Exam, feel free to contact us and we will try to assist you; or check-out our website in July for exam predictions which might help to narrow some of your study areas.
Thank again for your comment. We hope the very best for you in your legal practice and with the Florida Bar Exam itself. Blessings!
Thanks for getting back to me. I read some of the other comments and you did recommend adaptibar and interestingly enough that is the review course I chose. First it is cheaper than BarBri and in my opinion better because it pares down the MBE outlines to only what you will retain and leaves the “hard stuff” out. My strategy was to watch each MBE video (%700 for package) and take notes on the subject and then study the notes. These videos are one hour or less for each subcategory for each main MBE subject. So they are doable, then you take the practice questions in that subject matter only 20-30 and then move on to the next subject and add 10 questions each day of the subject you already conquered. The questions were $300 and very similar to the MBE. My difficulty with the MBE was not the prep, it was my practice life knew the real answer and worked against the test answer. Also, as a practitioner you only know 1 or 2 areas of law not 7.
I need to find a similar prep for FL. I don’t think watching videos is the way to go for that material. Instead, I just need short concise outlines and sample questions to do. I don’t want to spend anymore money on this EXAM.
If I have to retake again, I will not be doing it until Feb. because..January and February are slow months in my business. I can actually study then, summer…no way.
I wish I found this website earlier. I just google bar exam blog when I returned back to my home state today to see if anyone else had any comments on this Feb. Bar exam.
What are your thoughts on UCC Art. 3 or UCC Art. 9 being tested on the essay portion of the FL Bar Exam (even as a sub topic)? Art. 3 was apparently tested as a sub topic (of a contracts essay) in July 2014 and Art. 9 was apparently tested as a sub topic (also of a contracts essay) in July 2013. How many points would be allocated to such a sub issue? Should we worry? Thanks. Great site.
Hi ANON,
Good question. All testable subjects are fair game so, yes, it is possible that UCC 3 and/or UCC 9 could be tested as sub-topics. We would certainly advise being prepared for all of the subjects. However, we would be quite surprised if either UCC 3 or UCC 9 appears on the February 2015 FL Bar Exam. As you noted, UCC 3 was tested in July 2014 and UCC 9 was tested in July 2013. In fact, with the July 2014 exam, to our surprise the examiners double-tested Contracts (UCC 3 was predictably a sub-topic to one of the questions). With the February 2014 exam, they double-tested Florida Constitutional Law. Given the examiners’ seemingly new practice of double-testing certain subjects (excluding Ethics which is oftentimes double-tested), it is possible that one of the essay subjects would be double-tested and could possibly include UCC 3 and/or UCC 9 as a sub-topic. Again, though, we think it is unlikely. We could be totally mistaken though! … We are not sure this answer really helped you? We hope it did?! … Best regards and success to you on the exam!

February 2015 FL Bar Exam Predictions
Multiple-Choice Subjects
We are inclined to believe that Wills & Administration of Estates, Business Entities, and Florida Procedure (Florida Criminal and Civil Procedure and the Rules of Judicial Administration) will be tested on the February 2015 exam (and possibly Florida Juvenile Delinquency Law). It is also possible that Evidence will be tested; however, Evidence has appeared on the last three exams which reduces the potential of it being tested on the February 2015 exam. Nevertheless, for the Florida multiple-choice section, we recommend being well-studied for Wills & Administration of Estates, Business Entities, Evidence, Juvenile Delinquency, and of course, Florida Civil and Criminal Procedure and the Rules of Judicial Admin (§2.330, §2.420, §2.505 and §2.515).
Essay Subjects
As for the essay subjects, we are taking two different approaches-a personal one and a statistical one.
From a personal perspective, we tend to believe that Torts, Property, Florida Constitutional Law, Family Law, and Ethics will be tested as essay subjects on the February 2015 exam. It is very possible that Dependency Law will be tested in conjunction with Family Law. If one of Florida’s newly added subjects is tested on the February 2015 exam, we lean toward Dependency Law (essay cross-over) and/or Juvenile Delinquency Law (MC cross-over). Also, be advised that Trusts might very well be tested this February, even though the examiners’ seem to typically test that subject on the July exam. …
Statistically speaking, there is a 91% chance that Florida Constitutional Law will be tested, a 82% chance that Ethics will be tested, a 73% chance that Torts will be tested, a 55% chance that Family Law will be tested, a 45% chance that Property will be tested, a 27% chance that Trusts will be tested, and a 64% chance that Contracts will be tested as essay subjects (however, Contracts was double-tested on the July 2014 exam, which reduces its probability of being tested on the February 2015 exam). These numbers are based solely on statistical datum as seen from the following essay chart.
Caveat
As we say with every exam prediction, be advised that our predictions are just that-predictions. Please be sure you know the black letter law for all testable subjects. The Florida Board of Bar Examiners have the right to change-up the exam format at their discretion. The only three subjects that are required to be tested on every exam are Criminal and Civil Procedure and the Rules of Judicial Administration. The remaining subjects vary at the examiners discretion.
We hope this information proves helpful.
Blessings and best regards to each one of you!

Hi again,
I am wondering if you have a recommended study schedule for the last few weeks leading up to the exam? I am working full time until the 13th, so I only have 2-3 hrs a night during the week and then cramming all day, every day from the 14th to the exam. Any help is appreciated.
Hello again EB 🙂
Generally speaking, we suggest that you fervently and actively focus on your weak subjects but continue studying your strong ones as well. Do as many practice multiple-choice questions and practice essays as possible, but do them actively as opposed to doing questions for the sake of doing questions. For a more specific study schedule please contact one of our tutors . Thank you kindly and best regards!
Thank you for the site. So helpful for the bar. - ref your preliminary feb ’15 essay topics post. Federal con law not Florida Con Law. I had to do a tripple take when I read the call of the question.
Hi JRL,
Thank you kindly for your correction. We greatly appreciate your input and we hope you fared very well on the exam. Blessings.
When will you be posting the February 2015 bar exam predictions?
Hi Brittany, we’ll have them posted within the next hour 🙂
Thanks for posting the Feb 2015 predictions! Will business entities include partnerships and agency as well?
You are welcomed, and yes, Business Entities includes Florida Partnerships & Agency and Florida Corporations.
Where do I find the Feb 2015 predictions on the site?
Hello,
This site is amazing! Quick question - is Florida Criminal Law (as opposed to criminal procedure) a testable subject on the Florida exam, either mc or essays? It doesnt seem to be listed on your site’s list of subjects, and it’s also not a separate topic in the Barbri books, but it is in the back of the Barbri book under the “distinctions” outlines.
Thanks for your help and for this site!
Good day to you,
Yes, Criminal Law is a testable Florida subject. However, to our knowledge, the examiners’ have not tested the subject in several years. If it is tested on the 2015 exam, we are inclined to believe the examiners’ will test it in MC format. If tested, it is highly probable that the subject would be crossed-over with a secondary subject (e.g., Juvenile Delinquency). Be sure to know the Florida law distinctions just in case it is tested. Blessings and best regards for success on the exam! 🙂
Thank you. One other question. For the Rules of Judicial Administration, is it only the 4 specific rule numbers cited on your list of testable subjects that can be tested? Or are all of the rules fair game?
Only the 4 specific rule numbers we cited are fair game (see e.g., FL Bar Exam 2014).
Hi. I would like some insight or advice on how to approach only studying for the MBE. I am almost done with all of the MBE substantive videos and am now really learning/memorizing the black letter law. I did not score well on the MBE in the actual exam, I missed it by 4 points but since I am working so I knew I could not re-take the entire Fl Bar.
Thanks so much!
Hi Sandra,
We highly recommend Adaptibar for MBE practice questions. It has proven successful for several applicants’ that we know of. If you do not want to do Adaptibar then get ahold of as many practice MBE questions that you can. Use the questions to determine your strengths and weaknesses. From there, focus on your weak subjects. By knowing where your weaknesses are and continuously doing practice questions you just might be able to get those 4 additional points needed to pass the MBE.
We hope this helps? Feel free to contact us via our contact form if you have further questions. Blessings and best regards to you!
I have been studying for the FL Bar exam on my own while working full time. I am thinking of quitting my job for the remaining 4 weeks to focus exclusively on it. Do you believe that will be sufficent and what type of study schedule (subjects) would you recommend.
Response sent via email.
I’m on the same boat! Help

Hello!
Thank you so very much for this website. I just decided (tonight) to take the FL bar because I have taken CA a few times and I keep failing. CA is just too much for me. I am/have been working full-time and acting as full-time caretaker for my mother. As a result, my essay and PT scores keep fluctuating.
My MBE is solid. In July of 2014 I rec’d a 152 scaled, so I think I have a better chance at passing the FL bar because Part B “MBE portion” is worth 50%.
Nevertheless, I am pretty clueless as to where to start in terms of preparing for Part A/FL portion.
Can you recommend an approach for (Part A) someone working full-time & self-studying (starting tomorrow - 1/11)?
I plan to study the MBE the next three weeks and devote the remaining 3 weeks to Part A/FL. However, I am worried that 3 weeks is not enough time to review/memorize and then do practice essays/questions for Part A.
I was planning on downloading the practice essay questions from the State Bar website, buying a Kaplan FL multiple choice book & starting to answer them without any black letter review. I was planning to memorize the law in a “study backwards” approach based on what’s been tested before?
Predictions would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all of your help. This site is amazing!
Hi lee,
We will reply to your comment via email within the next 24-32 hrs. By the way, thank you kindly for your comment! 🙂
Happy New Year! Time for the February bar exam. Have you predicted the essays yet? hehe.
Well hi there Amanda 🙂
Thank you and Happy New Year to you also! We will probably post our February 2015 exam predictions on February 1st or 2nd. As you might already know, and like we always say with our exam predictions, be sure to study Florida Civil and Florida Criminal Procedure, along with Florida’s Rules of Judicial Administration. Those three subjects will be on the exam-usually in multiple-choice format. Be sure to check back with us in February for further info. Blessings and best regards to you!
Wow, excellent information throughout your blogs! Wish I found your website in July but glad I found it now. I’ll be taking the Feb 2015 exam. Failed the July 2014 exam. The Florida mc questions were hard because I didn’t have much Florida information. I wasn’t prepared for the essays or mc last July. I didn’t know that criminal and civil procedure were required to be on the exam. Thank you for sharing that info! My bar prep course didn’t even tell me that! I agree with the other comments that your exam predictions have been quite accurate. Looking forward to your Feb 2015 predictions and any other information you have about the Florida section. Thank you!
Hi Jonathan,
Thank you kindly for your comment. We hope to post some exam predictions in early 2015. We hope the very best for you on the Feb 2015 exam! Blessings and best regards.
Hello,
I took the July 2014 Bar Exam and failed the Florida portion, but passed the MBE’s (I failed overall by 1.5 points).
I knew I failed FL when I walked out on the first day. I did not time properly, and didn’t know almost all of the multiple choice q’s, but I did o.k. on the essays. This time around, do you have any advice on how I can study for only one part? I just don’t know where to begin, as my prep course doesn’t have an only FL section.
Also, your essay and MC predictions were almost exactly on point last time, what do you think will be on the February 2015 exam?
Thank you so much for creating this site, it helped me a great deal last time (unfortunately, I found it only a week before the exam). Thank you!!
Hi Lola,
Thank you for your comment. Wow, you missed it by a mere 1.5 points? Hmmm. … With a little improvement you can clearly pass this thing!
Given that you passed the MBE and did okay on the FL essays, it does sound as though you need to take some Florida multiple-choice practice questions to help improve your overall score. We definitely recommend BarBri Florida Testing Books I & II for the Florida multiple-choice section. Both books contain multiple-choice questions covering all of the Florida tested subjects. You might be able to find a used set of the books on Amazon, eBay, or Craig’s List.
For the essay section, we recommend using the officially released prior Florida Bar Exam’s for essay writing practice. You might also consider purchasing “The 2015 Florida Bar Exam Review” book by PaulLaw Books. You can use it as a supplement to your Part A studies. The book contains concise outlines of the Florida tested subjects.
As for the predicted 2015 Florida Bar Exam subjects, we know that Florida Criminal Procedure, Florida Civil Procedure, and the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration will be on the exam (aka Florida Criminal and Civil Procedure). These three subjects are required to be tested on every exam per the Florida Supreme Court. The bar examiners have consistently tested those three subjects in multiple-choice format. We will post further exam predictions toward the beginning of the year, but for now be sure to know the black letter law for Florida Criminal and Civil Procedure.
If you would like, you can use our Contact Form to contact our tutor who should be able to provide you with a more detailed study approach for Part A of the exam.
We hope this information proves helpful, and we certainly hope success for you on the 2015 exam! Study like you did for the July 2014 exam except this time be sure to implement Florida multiple-choice practice questions in your studies.
Best Regards
Is the Celebration Law Florida Multiple Choice Question Book good? The updated 2015 one.
Sorry, but we cannot answer that question. We have neither read nor used Celebration Bar Review’s material. You might find a better answer on a bar exam forum? …
Does anyone know of a good resource for the Florida Multiple Choice tested subjects? I have received mixed reviews from Celebration Florida MCs, and it is outdated. Thank you!
BarBri Florida Testing Books I and II have proven helpful for some applicants. Both books contain simulated Florida multiple-choice questions.
