Where are the February MBE Raw Scores?

(Posted April 18, 2014) If you’re missing your MBE raw scores, you’re not alone. If you’re an exam repeater and your essay scores spiraled downward, you’re not alone. It is becoming somewhat apparent that there were some major faux pas with this February’s bar exam results, which we will attempt to address in an upcoming post.

February Pass/Fail Misposting?

(Posted April 14, 2014) If you checked the Florida Supreme Court’s pass/fail results prior to 12 p.m. on April 14th, you might consider looking at the results again. It is possible that there was a mis-posting of some of the exam results, although we cannot prove it and we have minimal facts to support that supposition. However, we know of at least one bar exam repeater whose pass/fail results literally changed between the time the court originally posted the results until sometime around noon. If a potential error happened to one applicant, it might have happened to others. Just sayin’ …

How Difficult was the February 2014 FL Bar Exam?

(Posted February 27, 2014) As we understand it, the Florida portion of the February 2014 bar exam was relatively straight forward. There were some difficult multiple-choice questions regarding Wills & Administration of Estates, but otherwise, Part A was not as difficult as some of the prior exams. The MBE, however, was rather tough. There were lengthy fact patterns and intricately detailed points of law, especially on the second half of the exam. It almost seems that 1.8 minutes per question was not enough time to adequately answer all of the MBE questions.
