February 2015 Florida Bar Exam Results
(Posted April 13, 2015:) The Florida Supreme Court posted the February 2015 exam results this morning at approximately 6:07 a.m. You can find the results here.
Congratulations to every one of you who passed the exam! You made quite the accomplishment. Celebrate your success! We hope the absolute best for each one of you!
For those of you who failed, try not to be discouraged. We know-that is easier said than done. However, keep in mind that the February 2015 Florida Bar Exam only had a 64.3 percent passage rate for first time test takers. Nevertheless, we believe if you stick with it, you will pass the exam (see, e.g., Don’t Let Failure Defeat You).
(Posted February 26, 2015:) The February 2015 Florida Bar Exam results will be released on April 13, 2015, and will be posted on the Florida Supreme Court’s website. Notice of the posting will be sent via the Court’s Twitter feed (https://twitter.com/flcourts or @flcourt). To see a list of the tested February 2015 Florida Bar Exam subjects, click here.
If you took the February 2015 Florida Bar Exam, we are certainly interested in hearing your thoughts (comments) about it. As we understand it, the three essays were relatively straight forward. The only oddity was the Federal Constitutional Law issue as opposed to a Florida Constitutional Law issue.
Federal Constitutional Law has only been tested in essay format one other time in the past eleven to twelve years, and that was on the July 2004 exam. Other than that, the Family Law, Torts, Ethics, and Property questions were seemingly straight forward. As for the multiple-choice section, it sounds as though the Wills & Administration of Estates and Business Entities questions might have been somewhat tough, possibly due to the wording of the questions (but see e.g., 2015 Florida Bar Exam Subjects (comments section)).
We will keep you updated as the exam results are released. Until then, we hope the very best for each one of you!

Hi. I was looking over your July 2015 essay predictions which I’m glad I found so I can get a little bit more review on those issues just in case. I saw that one of the topics you think is more likely is FL Con Law. I also saw that you said that includes Criminal Law and Constitutional Crim Pro. I was under the impression both of those have historically been tested significantly more in the MC section on the FL exam. But I do remember seeing a search and seizure secondary issue in a FL Con law practice question. Are you thinking that they would ask them as a central portion of an essay question or more like a cross-over secondary issue like the past example I saw?
I’m sorry for posting this in the wrong comments section. I had both tabs open. I would still love any insight though!
Hi, I’m an out of state attorney, I took the exam last year, passed the mbe, failed FL specific. My essay scores killed me… Any advise would help.
Also, when do you make your predictions for the July exam? I’ll be waiting to read your predictions.
Thank you!
Hi Mario,
You were certainly not alone with poor essay scores from the Feb 2015 exam. The overall essay scores were quite low. It was a tough test!
Have you tried reading and writing practice essays based on the officially released past FL Bar Exams (study guide-essays from 2003-2015)? Some applicants find it helpful. If nothing else it might enhance your issue spotting ability?
You can use our Contact form if you need further info. We hope to post exam predictions sometime around July 5-7, 2015.
Hi All,
I passed the Florida section of the February 2015 bar exam but did not pass the MBE section. Any retakers with recommendations as to what to do next? Although I still have time, I am nervous I wont increase my score to pass.
Have you tried Adaptibar? It’s a pretty good way to study for the MBE, especially if you just need a refresher course or something like that. BarOutlines.com also has some MBE materials. No matter the route you choose, it’s highly advisable to do practice questions. Focus on the reason you missed a particular question. Make note of the subject and sub-topic areas where you are weak and study your weak areas. Don’t overlook continual review of your strong areas though.
Thank you so much for all of your help. I passed the Florida bar. Glory to God and am writing to thank you for all of your advice and help! You are a gem!
Hi Sandra,
Awesome! And yes, glory to God! We are very happy for you! Way to go! May the LORD continue to bless, direct, and protect you in your legal endeavors. Thank you for sharing your success with us. 🙂
Blessings and Best Regards to You!
First time FL test taker, went to school in GA and took and passed GA in July. My MBE dropped significantly (159 to 142) this go around. Definitely did not study as hard as I did the first time, but I thought this was unusual. I ended up going 143 state, 142 MBE.
State essays were indeed pretty straight forward. The third question on Property/Wills was pretty interesting considering the language they used in the will. Could have gone into a precatory/conditional language analysis. I ended up w/ two analysis, one if the will was valid and one if not.
I still think the way to go is to try and crush the MBE. I used Barbri the first time and probably did 1500 practice questions. MBE is easier to plan for, and is pretty consistent year to year. There are so many topics covered on the essays that it is really a crap shoot. I really only spent the last 2 weeks studying for the FL specific stuff. I honestly expected to fail the state portion and use my MBE to carry me. Funny how that worked out.
The multiple choice were a pain due to how tedious the language was, but I don’t think they were unfair.I sound like a Barbri shill, but I bought a used Barbri set of books from Summer 2014 for this exam and the questions Barbri has for the State multi choice did a great job preparing me for the exam.
Anyhow, best of luck to those of you who are taking it in the future. It’s not really that bad.
How do you know your scores?
The FL Board of Bar Examiner’s will mail applicants’ their scores (see the Board’s website). The scores should have been mailed on April 13, 2015, but we suppose you were asking S.O. and not us. Sorry if we interfered 😐
Hi S.O.,
Congratulations on passing the exam. Thank you kindly for sharing your success with us. We hope the best for you in your legal career. Blessings and best regards.
Hello,
I passed the Fl bar on my second try this past Feb, after failing July 2014 by 1 point. I only re-took the FL portion, as I passed the MBE’s. After failing last time, I was completely devastated, and I did not know where/how to begin studying only for FL, and I emailed you and you were so helpful! I had no confidence in myself and I thought I would absolutely fail again this time, so much so I planned on using your tutoring services the next time around, because your advice was not only helpful, but gave me the confidence I needed to just continue. I just wanted to thank you for this website, I think that it is an invaluable tool.
My sincerest thanks.
