FAQ’s Frequently Asked Questions
1. When do you post exam predictions/speculations?
2. Do you provide personalized study schedules?
3. What books do you recommend for a self-studier?
4. Do you provide one-on-one tutoring for repeat test takers?
5. What type of payments do you accept?
1. When do you post exam predictions/speculations?
IF we post exam predictions (viz. exam speculations) for the upcoming Florida Bar Exam, we will do so approximately two weeks prior to the actual exam. We are constantly asked to post the predictions sooner, however, we do not believe it is in our readers’ best interest to do so. To successfully pass the Florida Bar Exam, it is very important that an applicant studies and knows the black letter law for all of the testable subjects and understands how to apply the law to a particular set of facts. If we post our exam speculations too early, some applicants tend to mistakenly focus only on the “speculated” subjects as opposed to all of the exam subjects. Because we truly care about our readers’ success on the Florida Bar Exam, we believe it is best to post our so-called bar exam predictions/speculations within two weeks of the actual exam and not any sooner. Therefore, please do not contact us regarding the possible posting date of exam speculations. Thank you.
2. Do you provide personalized study schedules?
Currently, we have to say no. We do not like to take on more than we can handle, as we do not believe it is in any of our best interests to do so. We are expanding and growing so rapidly that in order to preserve our goal of providing quality individualized services and materials to our readers, we have deemed it best to forego providing personalized study schedules to any one other than our private tutorees, at least for the time being.
3. What books do you recommend for a self-studier?
For Part A of the Florida Bar Exam, we tend to lean toward Themis Florida books Volume 1 and Volume 2 for learning general substantive law and the Florida law distinctions. Volumes 1 and 2 only contain black letter substantive law, so you will need to purchase additional books that have Florida multiple-choice practice questions in them. In that regard, we currently recommend BarBri Florida Testing Books I and II, which are replete with Florida multiple-choice practice questions. For Part B of the Florida Bar Exam, viz., the MBE, we currently recommend using Adaptibar. The program is fairly priced; and if used correctly, it can help to increase your overall MBE score.
4. Do you provide one-on-one tutoring for repeat test takers?
Yes, we do. However, we have no tutoring vacancies available for the July 2016 Florida Bar Exam. If need be, please check back with us for the February 2017 Florida Bar Exam. Thank you, and we hope the very best to all of you who will be sitting for the July 2016 exam.
5. What type of payments do you accept?
We accept personal checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, and credit cards. If payment is made via credit card, we add a 3% charge to the overall purchase cost. This is the approximate amount we are charged for accepting credit card payments. The 3% charge is exclusive from the cost we charge for our services.
Checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks are payable in full to Aplus eBooks Publications, P.O. Box 618757, Orlando, FL 32861. Credit card payments may be submitted through our PayPal account.
