The “IT” Factor

Spiritual Gifts and The “IT” Factor

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.” (1 Corinthians 12: 4-6)

Sometimes we find ourselves wanting something that we don’t have, and hoping for things that we’re not willing to work hard for. We tend to spend a lot of time daydreaming without the foggiest idea of how we intend to accomplish what we want. Pondering these concepts moved me to think of, and ask the question: What is your “IT”?

Many of us have heard the expression the “IT” factor. We’ve also seen people who have and display the “IT” factor. These people seem to walk through life with ease, and display confidence in a world of extraordinary misfits. They look as though they’ve arrived, and they appear to know where they’re going in the future. With that said, one thing that I’m sure of, and one thing you should know, is that EVERYONE has the “IT” factor! Everyone can do something extraordinary, and everyone brings something to the table, so to speak. And although I’m sure that there are several ways to obtain or embrace your “IT,” here’s one way that I’ve found is guaranteed—reading the Holy Bible.

From the very beginning of the Bible, God spoke about the “IT”. Throughout the Bible we are encouraged to find and use our “IT”. In the Bible, the term used for “IT,” is “Gift.” God promised that everyone has a particular Gift and Purpose. The great news is that God also gives us the blueprints to obtaining our Gift. Here’s how. Pray to the LORD, humble and sincere. Read his Word and follow it’s instructions. Have Faith. … Believe!

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8 NIV)
