The “Bed Bug” Lawyer

The “Bed Bug” Lawyer — Seriously?

The Rogers County Courthouse located in Claremore, Oklahoma, had to close its doors on Monday, February 04, 2019, due to an alleged “bed bug” scare caused by a local attorney. Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton explained it like this: “A lawyer came up to a third-floor courtroom with bugs falling out of his clothing. … I was told the individual that had them also shook his jacket over the prosecutors files” (quoting ABC Action News).

Well, that’s certainly one way to get your client’s case postponed.

Seriously though, can you imagine walking into the bar exam auditorium only to be told that the exam has been postponed because of a fellow test-taker’s “bed bug” problems? That would be a real bummer! We wouldn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

What’s the moral of the story? There really is none. Just keep your “bed bugs” at home and enjoy success on the bar exam. Cheers.
